Thought I updated a long time ago...

Ok so I thought that I had lost this when I wrote it like a month ago. So I'm I'm going to post it now. Here it is...

So I kept telling people that I would blog a lot when I moved off to Arkansas....well I wasn't taking in consideration how busy I would be and that I would lose my camera cord in the move. So I will keep trying to blog as often as possible and keep people up to date with our Arkansas lives. So first off, I want to tell some stories...in no particular order (just in order that I remember them right now). I started working at Blackstone Construction which is an asphalting company and I absolutely LOVE my work! The people here are awesome and so funny and joke around with each other. Never a dull day at Blackstone. Anyway, my co-workers get a kick out of thinking about family coming to visit. They think about what they can do and say to make whoever comes out that they will experience the full Russellville, AR feel. HA! I can't wait for people to come out and visit and see what we live with everyday. Like I said before, I got called to be the Miamaid advisior in our ward. Well we had our quarterly temple trip planned (since the temple we go to is 3 and a half hours away in Memphis, Tennessee). Well at mutual, they kept asking the girls to make sure and get their recommend interview down early. (Keep in mind that our stake center is 72 miles away in Little Rock so the members of the stake presidency can be anywhere from Russellville to Little Rock basically). Well friday afternoon came, and I was driving from work to the Junior High for some private lessons and realized that temple recommends expire after 2 years. So it is 4:30 on friday, the day before I leave for the temple with the youth and realize I don't have a current temple recommend. Also, I had 3 private lessons that night so I wouldn't be done until 7:30. So I got the number of a stake precidency member that lives in Conway (40 minute drive) and called him up to see if he could help me out. Well everything worked out. He ended up giving me the interview over the phone so that when I made it down there, I could just get it signed and be on my way. To add to this wonderful memory, I met with the bishop after the lessons before going down to Conway and I was in workout clothes and he was in his UPS uniform. Most un-formal bishops/stake president interview ever. Plus, I went straight down to Conway after the interview and met the stake presidency member in a gas station off the freeway. That was where he signed my temple recommend on the hood of my car. It was a priceless memory.

Well that was as far as I got with that post. So here is my update from that post....

I'm still at Blackstone and I still love it. Jonny is now done with volleyball season at the junior high and is now coaching girls and boys basketball at the middle school. That is an experience in of itself. He is an assistant coach of the girls 7th grade team and the head 7th grade boys team. We have learned that hard wy how difficult it is to move into a small town and be a threat. During volleyball season, it turned out that he rubbed the coaches the wrong way. Now it seems like it's carried over to basketball. I guess we just have to keep working on being accepted. Also there are a few of school board members that work with me at Blackstone and they have said there is good talk about Jonny and his volleyball knowledge. So we will see what happens with that. We are hoping for the best.

We went to Florida for Christmas this year to spend it with Jonny's family. We have a had a wonderful time so far and excited for the rest of the break. Jonny got us an iPad for Christmas which is what I am writing on right now and we LOVE it!! I got Jonny a weighted gold club to help his swing for golf. We had a wonderful Christmas with the Neeleys but miss our family of course.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and hope to see some family soon. All I can say is thanks to technology www can skype and not miss each other too bad.
