So this week from Wed to Sun Jonny and I are nanny-ing for 3 kids (7, 13 and 15 year olds) in a 6000 square foot house. The house is beautiful and the kids are old enough to basically do their own thing. It is a lot of fun but stressful at the same time. I have to remember where everyone has to be at what time and where. I now know why the Lord gives us only one (maybe two if you are Sarah Collette :) ) babies at one time...and props to those who adopt multiple kids at a time. That would be hard too. When I came over before the parent's left for Las Vegas (Bro. Barlow is participating in an iron-man this weekend) his wife Wendy was telling me what I need to do and where everything was. She looked at me and said, "You look overwhelmed." Of course I was overwhelmed. Bro. Barlow aka Pete said, "Just think of it as your own principality." I responded by saying, "Except your principality is 6000 square feet and ours is 600 square feet." He laughed and I was still overwhelmed. Ha. But now a day into it, I think I may that the hang of things. We'll see.
Anyway, this is a heads up in case I don't get to blogging much this week. The cause....3 kids and a 6000 square foot house to look after. :) Wish me luck.
