Day 2

Yes! I am doing good. I am 2 days in a row with this blogging thing. I knew this was going to be a good idea! :)

Day 2: A picture of you and the person you have been closest to for the longest

So this first picture is Brittany (left) and Sarah (right) and me of course. Brittany and Trevor (see picture below) have literally been like my little siblings I never really had. I met them when I was 8? So I have known them forever and they still go over to my parents house and hang out with them even though I am not there. They truly are like my siblings.

Sarah (right) has been my friend since we were in diapers. In high school, we went to the mall together with my parents and someone asked my mom if we were twins. We were attached at the hips growing up. Now we are both living our lives but we will never forget each other and we will always be friends even if we hardly see each other.

Here is Trevor (left) and Brittany (right). Trevor is Brittany's older brother. Everything I said about Brittany, it is basically the same for Trevor. He is part of my family. As we grew older, he started to not hang out as much because he couldn't spend the night like Britt could so he found other friends but he is still my little brother and I love all three of them (Britt, Sarah and Trevor)!

facebook 30 day challenge

So thanks to my sisters blog, I am going to try this 30 day facebook challenge out. It will hopefully make me get into a rhythm of blogging and maybe some of you will catch on. So here it goes...

Day 1: A picture of yourself and 10 facts

Sorry for the random coloring but it was the best I could find at 10:45 at night.
My facts:
1. I love cleaning. I find that when I am stressed or bored or tired of my house looking like a hurricane just went through, then I clean. I find it very relaxing.

2. I grew up in California, 45 minutes from the nearest (good) beach and have never tried surfing. I just don't really have the desire to try. Maybe one day...

3. I get hooked into television shows way too easily. Everyday, there is some show of mine recorded on our DVR. I know, I know, its a really bad habit but they are all just so good!

4. I am probably the worst test taker you will ever meet. I know its random but to me not really. I had a test tuesday, a test today and a test tomorrow. And yes, I am supposed to be studying for my test tomorrow but I got into reading blogs. woops

5. My favorite flower is a cala-lily (i dont even know how to spell it). I had many of these in my wedding bouquet and i just love how classy they look with their long green stem and white pedals(?) i guess they arent really pedals but oh well

6. The thing I am not looking forward to about being pregnant (no people, I am not pregnant, in the future) is that I can't lay on my belly. I LOVE laying on my stomach. I find it so relaxing and if I am laying in bed at night and can't fall asleep, i resort to laying on my stomach and it puts me out like a baby in minutes.

7. I was obsessed with spongebob when I was littler and the truth is, I still like it. I find the shows amusing. I am glad my little nephews watch it so I don't look like a complete creeper wanting to watch it too.

8. I don't really like to cook. I don't like this fact about me and I wish that I did but I don't. I hate the whole process. I don't like getting everything out cause it makes a mess and I have to put everything back. I don't like making more dishes dirty than the ones that are already in the sick. I HATE waiting so long for it to be done. I just don't like it. Baking is better but still not something I crave to do like my sister Sandy does. I wish.

9. I have worked out basically for the last 8 years straight because of volleyball. Now that it is done, I have no will power to get my lazy butt up off the couch and go running. First of all, BORING!! Who wants to just run? I really want to buy a gym membership and attend the fun different classes they have but it scares me that I won't go. And, it costs money! ugh. I wish I just wanted to work out.

10. I really LOVE the sunshine. It makes me really happy and for the last few days, Utah has had really nice weather. But not anymore. It snowed tonight and I am not too thrilled about it.

Well that is the end of blog number one. I am a few days behind but thats fine. I hope I can keep this up.

dummy

So today I woke up at 10 for my 11:50 class. I got in the shower, ate breakfast, got dressed and was about to leave. I started to look for my wallet and thought maybe it's in my car. Then I realized my car keys were in my wallet which was in my locked car. I decided to should go try and see if my car was left unlocked but with my lock, it wasn't. So I emailed my classmates that are in my group telling them what happened. I guess I just get the day off. I am now updating my blog and doing dishes and of course watching some more CSI. This will be a very productive day even though I missed a very important class.

My favorite pants ever

So I have had this pair of pants for quite a few years now and I LOVE them. They fit great. They are the perfect length. I wore them a lot. Not to mention, they were also Jonny's favorite pair as well. Well recently, I noticed a slight ripping but I didn't care. I love them too much to get rid of them. Anyway this is what they look like now....

I am very sad. I still am not going to give up on them. I want to see if someone that has more talent than me in patching/sewing will try and fix them for me. I don't want to get rid of them. :(

1 o' clock church

So at the beginning of the year we moved from 9 am church to 1 pm church. I thought I wouldn't like it because I love sunday afternoon naps but I come to find out that I like sleeping in sunday morning more. :) I don't think that 1 pm church is too bad. I actually enjoy it. :)

DK!!!! and CSI!!

So for Christmas Santa got Jonny and I Donkey Kong for the Wii. We are addicted. We play it almost every night.

I loved playing Donkey Kong on N64 so now that it is on the Wii I was stoked. Thanks Santa!

Ok so speaking of addicted....My parents let me borrow the last 3 seasons of CSI. Let's just say I have watched about 52 episodes that are each 42 minutes long in about 3 weeks. You can say that this is an addiction.

Jonny pant issue

So Jonny is tall and skinny. Not rocket science. But the problem this brings is either they are too big around the waist and not long enough or long enough but falling off his butt or too short but fit great around the waist. But we finally found the perfect fit and length for him. Come to find out, it is a very rare size to carry in stores. We went to American Eagle and tried on some pants. He tried on a few pairs to finally decide exactly what size he will need. So we decided to order a pair online and see if they will fit. He was so excited to get them in the mail because he currently has one pair. He got them in the mail and immediately opened them up and tried them on. They fit great except they were about 3 inches too short. It was ridiculous. How could this happen? He tried them on in the store and they fit great. Anyway, we sent them back and ordered the exact same size and hoped that the first one was just sized wrong. He got his second pair in the mail and once again immediately tried them on. We must not have good luck because these were better but still a little short. We will just have to make sure that we don't dry them and try and stretch them out every time we wash them as well. And that is the story of Jonny and how he cannot find pants to fit is body.
WOW I AM THE WORST BLOGGER IN THE WHOLE WORLD!
I am sorry for never blogging....I got threatened that if i don't blog....someone will eat me. So I am going to blog. OK since I have blogged in forever, I will start with a few months back...

Jonny surprised me with a date to the Aquarium. I love aquariums so I was pretty stoked! Plus I got to spend it with the best boy ever.

Next Jonny took me on our anniversary date. I can't believe we have been married for a year already. Holy smokes! He took me to Seven Peaks water park. He stinkin lied to me...but it was a good lie. So here is the story. Jon, Heather, Jonny and I went to play beach volleyball. Jonny wore his swim suit, Jon wore his swim suit, Heather wore her swim suit and I wore a t-shirt and shorts. Of course, swim suits are not unusual to wear to play beach volleyball in , I just prefer to wear clothes. Anyway, we went back to Jon's house and Jonny told us we had to be there by 1. By this time it was about 12:45. (Jon and Heather were coming with us to where ever we were going). I hate to be late so I was to trying to hurry but everyone else seem to be taking their sweet time which drove me nuts. Then Heather kept saying she was so hungry but she refused to go to get food be herself. Plus she needed to go home and get changed too. And I didn't want to go because I had to get changed myself. So we were sitting there arguing because she was too stubborn to go get food by herself and we now had to be to the "place" in 10 min. Finally we left and Jonny and I walked out first so I could vent to him how annoyed I was. Then Jon and Heather came after. We all got in my car and started to drive. First Jonny had to stop off at the gas station to get something. I was annoyed. Then he got back in and Heather said "I want Wendy's." Oh man was I annoyed by this time. This put me over the edge. We had to be where ever we were going in 5 minutes and no one was changed or anything. I was so mad I stopped talking to people. Well the Wendy's Heather had to go to was just a few blocks from where we were. So we started driving towards the Wendy's and around the corner was Seven Peaks. As many of you know I am the most oblivious person ever. So I just thought to myself, Man I wish we could go there. Then, Jonny pulled into the parking lot. I turned around and said, "You guys stink!" They all laughed. I guess the reason we had to be there around 1 is because of the half day pass. Jonny had sneakily packed my swim suit. I forgave Jonny and Heather and told her how annoyed I was and hope that she is never really like that. HA!

Ok so anyway, next we went on a date to the Mayan. I had never heard of it until I went there. It's pretty sweet. It's a restaurant that has divers...they dive into a pool for 15 minutes every half hour. It was fun but that food is not that good.

This summer I took a sign language class. I loved it! Let's just say I had the coolest teacher. He was so funny and made the class so much fun! There is a picture posted below of him dressed up on our last day of class. He signed and danced to a song. It was so funny. I will post the video as soon as I can figure out how too.

Then came my birthday. I turned 21!! CRAZY! I came home from working volleyball camps and had a present. I had been hint dropping to him that I wish we had a DVD player in our bedroom so I can watch movies before I fell asleep. So he got me one! But...we had to take it back cause it didn't work on our TV. Lame.

What now...

Oh ya, Jonny finished his last semester of actual classes. Now he has one semester of student teaching. And I started my last semester of school. At least I think so now. I am thinking I might want to go back to school...possibly for nursing. I have thought about this for some time now but I am not sure if I want to. The reason: We are going to want to have kids sometime in the future. So do I go to school just to have kids as soon as I am done. I won't even be able to practice nursing. I would want to stay home and take care of my kids. So hard to decide... thoughts anyone?

But for now we have some decisions to make. Do we stay here? Move? Go back to school?

We went on a huge group date and maybe one day I will put them on here.

We are happy. We are in love. We will see if I can keep this blogging up. :)

Laker game!!

Yesterday was the 4th game of the Laker Jazz series. Lakers were up 3-0 and last night they took the 4th game for the sweep! We were lucky enough to be able to go. We sat on the 3rd row from the top but absolutely loved the game. We had so much fun. We also went with another couple and the 4 of us got to hang out and cheer for our team.
Besides going to the game yesterday, our lives have just been rolling along. Jonny ended school and started spring semester. I have ended school but don't start up my next semester until next week. I am lucky to have this little break. I have been resting my body and brain. Our volleyball club teams have their finally tournament this weekend and then we are done. It has been fun but I am glad to have more time on my hands. Now we are just looking forward to the end of the spring/summer semester so we can relax the second half of summer. Jonny's brother is getting married in a month and we are going to be able to go to California for that. We are super excited. We are coming up on a year of marriage....holy smokes how time flies!! So that's about it. Nothing too much.

One more thing that I have been noticing. So I am going through the stage of realization that everyone that I know or grew up with is either getting married (which I'm ok with since I'm maried) or having a baby! Now this one is the one that scares me. Why? Because that means my time is coming up soon. No we are not pregnant and not planning on having kids in the next year. I have to make it through my last season of volleyball and hopefully school. It is just crazy to think that I will be pregnant one day. But one day we will have kids, for sure! But not anytime in the near future. I love children but need to get through some stuff first. Anyway, I thought I would throw that out there cause I'm sure everyone goes through that feeling and I am definitely going through mine.

Well that's it for all. Once again, I hope to post soon but most likely won't for a month or so :) Love ya'll

March 12, 2010

just one day at a time...

So I only have one more week or school and volleyball til my spring break! I can't wait. I'm just gonna take it one day at a time. I have been having tests like crazy and my body is breaking down because of so much volleyball but in a week, I will get a break. I am hoping that the sun will come up so that I can let me white legs see the light. My mom will be coming up my spring break week and I am very excited for that because it feels like forever since I have seen her last. Now for the last little whiles update:

First of all, Jonny got a calling! He got called as the PFR (physical facility representative) which is the guy that sets up who cleans the ward building every week. It was a bit of a surprise that he got called to that since he is 24 and usually it is older men that receive the calling. Also, we thought that for sure we would be grabbed and put into primary which we were totally looking forward to. Anyway, I am still calling free and just waiting for one to come my way.

We have learned to like our ward a bit more. It was definitely different from our last ward that we just absolutely loved! But we are beginning to make friends and get to know people more. We are excited just to be able to have our new place that we would take any ward that was given to us here. Speaking of our new place...we LOVE it!!! We have hung up pictures and cute decorations and its really feeling like ours. In our last place, Eve told us that we weren't allowed to put holes in the walls so we hardly had anything on the walls which didn't make it feel like home. In our new place (which I will post updated pictures) we have things up all over the place. We really love our place and although we don't know a ton of people that live around us, we still know those fun young couples in our ward that we have became friends with.

Jonny and I have found out that we both have three more semesters left before we graduated college!! HOLY SMOKES!!! I can't believe that it has gone by this fast. This will be my last year of volleyball. It has been such a great experience and I am very grateful for the fun times that I have had. I'm hoping to make it far this year with this team. I'm stoked for the season but when it will be over, I bet it will be a bitter-sweet feeling. My body needs a break and it will be super nice to be able to have some time with my husband. I keep telling my friends in my class, that one day, they just wait, I will get dressed up in real clothes with my hair done and my make-up done and feel like a normal student. One day....

One more thing, Jonny and I have decided that we want to start making homemade bread instead of buying it. We were buying close to two loaves of bread a week and it was just too much money that we were spending. So I talked to my ever-so-brilliant sister about what I needed to do and get (she makes homemade bread too) and found out that it will only cost about 70 cents a loaf! Crazy huh? And not only that but it tastes so much better. I have just been loving to cook ever since we moved because now we have our own kitchen. I love baking and cooking and pretty much trying different recipes. Sandy has also shown me some pretty amazing websites with recipes on it that I am dying to try. I love cooking and I don't even know why. I just wish I had more time, like being a stay at home mom, to do more of it!

Ok I think that is pretty much our life update. I will try and post some of the pictures of what we have done with our apartment soon. We love you all and hope to post again soon!

January 4, 2010

an everything update!

Ok so we have all figured out that I am pretty bad at this blog thing. But the weird thing is that I love to blog, so the question is...why can't I update it more often? Well my old excuse was that I was so busy with school and volleyball, but I have been out of school and volleyball for two weeks now and still haven't updated. So this is my time to update before school and volleyball come back into play next week. So I will start at the beginning of December :)

December 4th, we moved out of Eve's basement and into our own place! I promised pictures in my last post and here they are almost a month later. ha.

This first couple of pictures are of us moving and packing.
Jonny taking apart our bed.

This is where we had to do our dishes for six months....not fun. It's so nice having a sink now. This was our last dishes we did at Eve's house. yay!

This is our new living room. I obviously took these pictures before everything was brought in. We still had the big furniture to bring in. But that's our patio outside!
This is another view of the living room. With your back to the patio door looking at the kitchen.
THE KITCHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our handicap bathroom. Yes, handicap. Long story short...we wanted an apartment that faced the right direction to get a dish for tv. The only one they had was this handicap apartment. But it actually worked out well because the rent was $50 cheaper a month. Nice huh?
The bedroom with nothing in it.
The walk-in closet. This is Jonny's favorite part.
This is our stacking washer and dryer that came in the apartment. It has been so nice to be able to do laundry as often and whenever needed.
So that's enough for right now. I will get pictures of the finished apartment up soon. You can see all of our cute picture frames on the wall and all the other fun things that we have done. Ok so after we moved into this apartment, Jonny and I were getting ready for finals. Finals week was done December 16th. We flew out the next morning, the 17th, for FLORIDA!!! Jonny's sister lives out there, right on the panhandle. We spent 15 days there in Florida. We had Christmas there, where we were all sick and 10 of the 12 people(including 4 kids) all threw up within a week time period. That was the weirdest thing but it was also nice to know someone, basically everyone, knew how you were feeling. We also rode go karts there, went to the beach, went shopping, played games and created memories as a family. That was so much fun and I hope we will be able to get the chance to go out there again. Also on Christmas, my brother-in-law proposed to his girlfriend and they will be getting married sometime soon. They haven't picked a date yet but sometime probably in the next 6 months or so. So that was exciting!

We flew home New Years Eve and walked through our door about 4pm. It was sad to have to leave Jonny's family but it was sure nice to be home. That night, we went up to my sister's house, Sandy, and hung out with her and my other sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Harrison. We made cookies, played games and stayed up until 3am playing a game and laughing at the dumbest things...but that was sure a lot of fun!

The last couple of days have just been relaxing days. Jonny started school today. I don't start for another week so that is super nice. Jonny's birthday was yesterday and we had some friends come over for dinner/cake/games. Those pictures are on a friends camera and will soon be here, hopefully. Today, I woke up sick once again. I have gotten sick more in the last two weeks than I have in the past six months. I just hope that it is a quicky sickness and I can be back on my feet with my strength back to be ready to go for volleyball and school to start up.

So that is about it for our update. We are happy as can be. We have our own place. We have been married for six months already. We love our little family and can't wait to extend it. (but don't worry, not until after volleyball is over for sure!) :) We love you all.

Stories con't....

Ok so I have had many requests for more stories about Eve. I have been trying to think of some that has happened lately but it has been a bit hard. Jonny had a talk with her a few weeks ago and basically told her that we don't want to be someone that lives downstairs, we want to be treated like a neighbor. Basically, if we walk by upstairs we will say hi but other than that we want to be called on our cell phone so we can choose to ignore it if we wanted like other neighbors would do. f she just yelled down and she knows that we were downstairs, we were feeling obligated to answer her. So after this little talk that Jonny had with her, we haven't really talked to her. I think I have said hi a few times, but no more of her calling down to us.

But for the stories that I do remember....

Eve went to the hospital about a month ago for high blood pressure. We didn't even realize that she was missing until church (three days later after she was taken in) and we live with her! So after she got back, of course the ward was being super nice and making her dinner and bringing by treats for her. We will randomly come home and see her "surprises" (thats what I like to call them) by the top of the stairs. One day, close to Halloween, we were left a bag of candy corn. Not even asking us if we liked it or anything...once again we feel obligated to take it. Luckily Jonny likes candy corn so it wasn't that big of a deal. But still, everyday I come home, I wonder to myself if there is going to be any surprises for us that day. You never know what comes from an old lady....because seriously, the last time it was a BANANA!

So one thing that bugs me about living with someone that I don't like (Eve), is that she blames us for everything. We have used her kitchen two times the 5 months we have lived here. She was gone a few days and came back and blamed us for something that was spilt in the kitchen. I asked her, "Eve I have only used your kitchen twice, and it hasn't been in the last 3 months. So I'm sorry but I don't know how it got there but I did not do it." Not only that, but she nearly ran out of her bedroom at a step per hour, which is fast for her, to be able to ask us if we spilt the stuff in the kitchen.

Those are just two stories that I could think of. Hopefully there will be a good one from the day that we tell her we are moving out. Next Friday we will be free of her! I can't wait but not ready to tell her the big news. I hope this gave you at least a smile on your face. I will try and post soon!

WE FOUND IT!

So we found our new place. We are moving in on Dec 4th and CANT WAIT!!! We are so excited to get out of this place and into one of our own. I'm excited to have a kitchen with a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. I am just so excited!! We are moving right off of Bangerter Highway right behind the Ikea in Draper, UT. It is a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with a kitchen, washer and dryer and small patio. I will post pictures in a few weeks after we move in and get everything organized. I am most excited about the kitchen if you can't tell. For the past 5 months, we have been doing fine with our "make shift" kitchen which is in our living room but I am excited to have a full blown fridge and freezer and dishwasher and have the cabinet space to put all of our appliances and dishes and cook!! I will have an oven to bake and cook dinners. I can just go on and on about it. We also have a sweet walk-in closet that Jonny is very excited about. I am too. It is huge! It's closer to the U by 7 or so minutes but that means it is further away from the Y by 7 minutes. So I made the sacrafice the first semester and now we are switching. Even thought Jonny will have further to drive every morning, in the spring I have to be up at the U at 6 am 4 days a week. So I am very glad that we will be that much closer to the U. Thanks babe for making the sacrifce for me! Anyway, I will post pictures in a few weeks when we move in.

As for everything else, life is starting to get easier. Jonny's volleyball at the high school ended a few weeks ago so that has freed him up quite a bit. I have two more weeks for my volleyball and that will free my whole life up. School is coming to an end as well. Only 4 more weeks!! We are having Chrsitmas in Florida this year. Jonny's older sister lives there and she always comes out here so we are going to go visit her. That has only been able to happen thanks to my mother-in-law for purchasing the tickets to allow us to go! I have never been to Florida and really hope that we will be able to make it Walt Disney World. Jonny and I will be so excited when the semester is over and we can just spend some time just the two of us. But anyway, thats where our lives stand. I will update soon I hope :)

new place to live

So Jonny and I are beginning to look for a new place to move to. We have struggled with living in this house with Eve for quite some time. We have been able to deal with it but now we just want our own place. We want our own kitchen, not have to walk through the front door of someone else house to get down to ours, and we want to be able to have the freedom of hanging things on the walls without getting told not to. These are just some of the things that have been the reason for our moving but the biggest one is that we want to be together, just the two of us, no old lady upstairs that we can hear coughing and talking on the phone. We don't want someone calling down to us to invite us up for whatever she has that she doesn't want or help that she needs to move furniture around. We want to have our own little home where we can have people over for dinner or friends over for FHE. We are looking for a place somewhere in the middle of Provo and Salt Lake. If you know of anyone that lives around there (from american fork to draper is our limits) that has an apartment around them for rent or something, please let us know. We would appreciate it. Please also just keep us in your prayers as we are looking for a place, that some place will come up that will be just perfect for us. Thanks!

Cabin trip!

Ok first of all...I am awful at this whole blogging thing. I get pretty good a doing a few posts then go weeks without posting. Maybe one day when I have more time. But anyway, more stories about Eve will be coming soon. But for now, I have a post about Jonny and my fun little one day trip up to a cabin! Jonny's sophomore coach that coaches with him at Pleasant Grove High School built his cabin a year ago. He has built a few others and sells them but with the market down so much he has been trying to sell this one as well. So he told us that if we ever wanted to use it, we better hurry up before its not his anymore. So Saturday I had a day game at 1pm. We won! yay. After that, I had to go to the Utah football game to pass out candy to the little kids for Halloween. I left and went home to pick up Jonny and were off to Mike's (the sophomore coach) house. We got the run down on what to do and how to get there. Of course since it was a cabin and he doesn't use it that often we needed to do some things to get the cabin fired up. After we left Mike's, we were off to the cabin. The cabin is located in Scofield which is out by Price, so south of Provo. It was about an hour and a half drive, up in the mountains. We got there about 8pm. We walked in to realize that this cabin was AMAZING!!!! It is a 3 story, 3700 square feet house, 100 in. projector screen to watch movies on, 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 4.something acres, 2 ATV's, 2 snow mobiles...just crazy nice house! Anyway, we walked in and got the house ready to go. We went downstairs and watched a scary movie cause it was Halloween and fell asleep shortly after.

Today we got up and checked out the gorgeous view and really wanted to go for a ride on the ATV's. We spent almost an hour out there, finding trails and just checking the place out. We saw deer and what we think were goats. We went down by the lake and felt the freezing cold water. We did some fish tailing in the dirt. We had a blast. We went back inside and had some lunch and did some laundry. We went upstairs and played some air hockey which I must add, I dominated Jonny. We played best 3 out of 5, games to 10 points. I beat him in 4. He played it off well but his ego was hurt inside I think. Love you babe! :) After air hockey, Jonny went downstairs and played Madden on the xbox and projector screen tv. I took a nap. :) After that we watched Bolt, that dog movie. We finally took a shower and got ready to shut the place down. We loved every second of being up there and want to go back very soon. We are grateful for the Clark's for letting us go and hope we can return soon! Here are some pictures. Sorry the quality isn't the greatest....I forgot our camera so these were taken off my phone. I'm surprised how good some turned out, others not so much.

This is the front of the cabin.
This is the back side, the one with the view. And me at the bottom on an ATV.

This was the gorgeous view from inside the house. The windows were fabulous!

This was the "theatre room" where Jonny played xbox and we watched movies.

This is Jonny practicing his air hockey moves. A lot good that did him :)

This is me and my "W" for winner! Right after I killed Jonny in air hockey.

Here are some pictures are of us ATVing. It was so much fun. And cold.

Here are a few of us by the lake. It was so pretty.

I just love this picture. He is hard core. :)

This cabin was amazing. Everything about it. It was so pretty inside and out. I can't wait to go back there. Maybe some day.

A little recap on our lives. Both trying to get through this semester and volleyball is coming close to ending. We are looking to be moving soon. We just want to have our own place. More Eve stories will come as they happen. I have had a couple of requests for more. We are doing great and loving being married more and more each day. We love you all.

Crazy lady aka Eve

Ok so many of you have heard stories about the crazy lady that lives upstairs. Just for clarification...we live in a townhouse but we live in the basement of this lady (Eve)'s house that is probably in her 70's so she is lonely. Old lady and lives alone is never a good combination cause they just get lonely and love to talk to anyone about anything. Not good for us at all. So we don't have our own entrance and the only thing keeping us separate are the stairs. So you can guess there are probably plenty of stories about this old lady that lives upstairs. Well as newlyweds all we want is just to be left alone at home.

The first story starts the first week we moved in. Jonny and I were sitting downstairs on the couch and we hear some sort of cow bell coming from upstairs followed by a call..."Jonny, are you guys down there?" We looked at each other and just thought to ourselves, you have to be kidding! Did she really just ring a cow bell to get our attention. This is only the beginning. The stories keep coming... This is the infamous cow bell:

After that first incident with the cow bell, we noticed that she would ring it to tell us that she was leaving (i guess she thought we cared that she was going somewhere). We would here the bell followed by that same voice saying "hey guys, just letting you know that I'm leaving to go to the store." As you can imagine, we were not going to let her do this for the whole 6 months we live here so we told her that she doesn't need to tell us when she leaves. Actually, we told her NOT to tell us when she was leaving. The "cow bell" stories could go on forever but to sum them all up, I can just say she rings it now to give us some food or drinks or treats or anything to get us to come up to talk to her. We basically avoid her at all costs. I know that sounds mean but ask anyone that has met her and they will back us up.

Well there was an incident today that made me think about posting all of these (and that so we don't forget about all the stories). Just a few days ago, I was gone on a volleyball trip and Jonny woke up to go to school. So he walks upstairs at 7:20 in the morning (so its still dark outside, which makes it dark inside as well) and right when you get to the top of the stairs the living room and front door is to the right and Eve's room is to the left. Well Jonny reached the top of the stairs and turned to the right like he does everyday to leave, and Eve pops up from under a blanket on the couch and says "Can I borrow some milk?" Jonny said he was so freaked out and startled. We have never seen Eve out of her room before 8:30 or so. Who knows why she was awake at that time and needed milk. Anyway, so I got home a day later to find our mail at the top of the stairs with a note written on the front of our mail. It read, "Thank you!!! Hi. 1/2 gallon of milk is in the refer...(she obviously didn't know how to spell refrigerator so she started with a few letters followed by ....) for you. Hope you like it. This is the kind I use all the time. Share the banana. Eve." So I looked down and saw a single banana next to the mail and right next to the famous cow bell. So i left the banana, didn't grab the milk and just took the mail and went downstairs. I told Jonny about it so the next time we came in and he grabbed the milk. he decided why not, it's free milk. I told him it probably was going to be some old grandma milk, the kind that has no taste but they love it. He grabbed it and not to my surprise, it is the Light Silk Soy milk. I knew it!!! I don't know what we are going to do with it. We will not use it.
So those are just some stories of the lady that lives above us. There are plenty more and maybe one day I will write some more. We are happy and thats what matters. Jonny and I are just experiencing something that will always be a memory and thats what marriage is about. I love Jonny and we are super happy!

Explanation...

So as I said before, Jonny is in this blogging/technological class at the Y so if you see random posts like the one before this, that means he got confused and posted it on here instead of on his homework blog.
Anyway, just to catch you up from the past couple of weeks or so. My life has pretty much been volleyball, volleyball and volleyball and a little bit of school. Right now our record is 9-5. not too bad but not great. We struggled a little in the beginning with team stuff but I think we are starting to find our flow. Jonnys pretty busy all the time with school and working at the high school coaching. His team is doing pretty well. He has had some difficulties in some aspects of the girls trying to hit the ball (which I thought was weird because usually that's not the case) but his girls don't want to make the mistake. He is working a really part time job doing his reffing for BYU intermurals like he did for the last two years. He decided not to do it much since the hours are 6-10 at night which is usually the only time we actually get to see each other.
So jonny had his first experience going to an eleementary school the other day, teaching the the parachutte game for P.E class. He said it was fun and he now understands how that can be a workout. So after teaching them the game and playing with them, he had to teach them why it is good to workout your body. He loves teaching P.E and I am glad he is doing something he loves.
And the last thing about volleyball....I have to mention that we just beat BYU this last Friday night which was the best thing!!! It went 5 sets and they were all a battle. Our gym was packed and it was just crazy! I love beating BYU. For anyone that doesn't know BYU is our biggest rival. I once heard that the BYU-UTAH rival is #3 in the nation for biggest rivals, right behind Ohio State-Michigan and UCLA-USC. Crazy huh? I dont know if its true but thats what I heard.
Anyway, I am awful at keeping up with pictures but I will try and do better. But I thought writing is at least a start. Love you all and hope your doing great!

volleyball

It feels like this is all I write about but it takes up a lot of Jonny and my time. Jonny's team had his first match yesterday and they beat the team in 4 games. The played well and they are supposed to be good this year. They have a tournament this weekend so we will see what happens.

I started school this week. :( It hasn't been too bad since I only had one class. I am only taking class Mondays and Wednesdays and only two classes. And then I have two online classes. I missed Mondays classes (the first day of class) because my grandpa died last week so his funeral was Monday right during class time. It was my first funeral. A lot of tears were shed but I'm glad to know that there is much more after this life here on earth. Anyway...back to school. So, I had two classes scheduled for Wednesday but found out when I went to class and sat there with not another soul in sight for 5 minutes that the professor decided not to hold class that day. So I went to one class all week. It still doesn't feel like school has started but I honestly don't think I ever will.

My first game is tomorrow!!! We are playing ASU in our tournament here at home. I am very excited and hope to come off with a win. This season will be fun but very busy. Jonny and I will be away from each other quite a bit but we knew that going into it. It won't change anything about the way we feel about each other. We will just have to work harder to find time to spend timw with each other.

Well, its time to watch a movie with Jonny and then fall asleep in his arms....awww. :) ha. but seriously. Goodnight!

finally!...

So I finally took pictures of our little home. We live downstairs of an older ladies house. It has been working out pretty well for now. So because we just live downstairs we don't have a kitchen so in one of the pictures you will see what we made our "kitchen" look like. It has been hard for me to not be able to have a kitchen to cook but better yet, bake! I want to just be able to make a cake or something sweet for my sweetie. :)

So this first picture on the left is a very from right in front of our closet. That is our nice new dresser my mommy and daddy just bought us! Thanks mom and dad! ...and next to that is our little contraption we made so we can see that tv to watch movies at night :)

This picture to the right is of our cute little bed, night stand and my jewelry chest. My parents bought me this really nice bedroom set a couple of years ago knowing that I would someday need one. I really like it. I got to pick what I wanted. I'm glad Jonny likes it too! The quilt on the bed is a wedding gift from my mother-in-law. She stitched the whole thing and made it our wedding colors. It took her forever. It is very nice and we like it a lot. Thanks Lynnette!

This is our cute little bathroom. It's nothing too special but we like it. We decided that we had to have some kind of cougar blue in our house or Jonny would go crazy so we made our bathroom blue, tan and brown. I like it. And if you can see we have our engagement pictures that Lynnette framed for our luncheon all over our house. We even have one in the bathroom! haha

This one to the right is our lovely DI couch that is very comfy and perfect for our situation. I would suggest anyone that is a newlywed to go check out DI for anything you need before you buy it new. It is the way to go. Up on the wall behind the couch is our pictures that we had people sign at our reception...way better than a book. And of course our picture of Christ on the back wall.

So this is our "kitchen"...but it works for the time being. I don't know how long but at least for now it will work. To the left of the picture is where we do all the cooking and keep all the food. The table is where we attempt to have meals but usually just end up on the floor or on the couch. And then our dvd collection in the far right corner. We have only been married for just about two months and have watched quite a few of those movies.

This picture to the right is another view of our living room. That is our tv and of course....on espn. Nothing else ever plays being married to a Neeley boy. Good thing I like sports. I don't know what Jonny would have done if he didn't. You can see more engagement pictures on top of the tv. All the way to the right is our "front door" but really its just the bottom of the stairs.

Well that is a little update on our little apartment. We like it and most importantly we are happy as can be being married to each other. A little update on some other things...

I just got back from my volleyball trip to St. George. It was fun and good to get away for a little bit but more than happy to be back and with my husband again. Volleyball two-a-days is still going strong but only for 2 more days!! School for me starts on Monday :( but that means season is starting!! :) My first game/tournament is next Friday. My parents will be coming up and actually staying for about a week and a half so I'm pretty stoked. I'm so lucky to have parents that are so supportive.

Jonny's jv volleyball team just had try outs last week so his practices have started. The high school starts tomorrow but Jonny is still free from school for another couple weeks...lucky...so he is busy with volleyball but isn't into full throttle until September. So we both are going to be super busy this semester but it will be fun.

We also got a calling as substitutes in the Junior Primary! We are very excited because we will be able to have the opportunity to learn how to teach and keep them interested. Jonny is a great teacher already but me on the other hand....I struggle. I guess I just didn't get my dad's genes. It will be hard with me traveling about every other weekend for volleyball but hopefully it will be able to work out for the best.

OK well I will stop rambling on and go do some dishes. Love you all!
